Bosch - Easy to use gardening tools

A garden is there to be nurtured. It is there to be cared for, stroked, plucked, weeded and doted over so that you can enjoy it. And so that the neighbours know how very amazing you are. Gardens are for show. The effort that goes into maintaining this splendour is that of a novel. A never-ending novel. Time, care and attention are crucial and as we all stay at home and pick our money off trees, we are able to do this. Not! Bosch can. Gardening tools for any Tom, Dick or Sally. Now we can all enjoy a quick and easy Garden of Eden. Anyone can do it.

Mr.Price Home - Utensils Packaging

A sleek and simple design with quirky text. The orange shape shows the object you would use the utensil on, and the actual utensil is placed in a way that it mimics how you would use it. The whole set comes in the 'You can make your kitchen happy by using these utensils' box.

Jenna Viva - lifestyle & home concepts | boutique eatery

Owner and conceptuliser Terri Coyle and myself met by chance. I was given this amazing opportunity to create a brand identity from scratch. This included business cards, letterheads, packaging for the bath & body care range - Innocence, packaging for the deli, tags and labels, gift vouchers , etc. Jenna Viva combines eclectic pieces of furniture, jewelry, art, lighting etc with pieces that have been restored and given a new life. The boutique eatery has a  selection of foods ranging from freshly baked cakes & chef's specials to amazing tapas platters. (And the best cream of tomato soup I've ever tasted). Visit their website for more information www.jennaviva.co.za.
Terri also has an amazing guest house in Somerset West called SW1, staying there is a real experience. Visit them at www.sw1.co.za.

Olmeca Black Promotion

The brief was to develop an interesting promotion that would create awareness about the new Olmeca Black Tequila. Our big idea was 'The Black of the Night.' We were aiming to make Olmeca the 'Black' shot of the night. These are a few elements from the promotion, which led to people signing up to Olmeca BlackBook. Olmeca BlackBook became a place for people to network, view photos taken at promos, and for Olmeca to advertise up and coming events and promotion such as 'The BlackComedy of the Night' which were comedy evenings held in Cape Town, Jhb and Durban.

Fuse Font Design

This was a font design project where we had to create a font using anything we wanted as inspiration. I decided to use pencil shavings, thus the name Shavings. We also had to design a poster to accompany our font. I decided to use this poem on mine:
The Pencil.
Broken beyond belief, he seeks aid.
Grating against the symbiotic benefactor.
He improves his life, he makes himself useful.
He leaves behind his past
in a small unobtrusive pile.
Sharpened beyond belief,
to again leave his mark upon the world.
The pencil slowly pulls away
from the sharpener.

Vida e Organico Campaign

Vida e is a brand known for giving back to the community, and caring for the earth. With 'going green' and 'organic' becoming a way of life we (Myself and Copywriter Dylan Rohleder) decided to do a print campaign and coffee cup holder to create awareness. The print ads each have their own unique story educating the public about the damage of non-organic coffee farming. With this campaign, we decided to give the website a makeover as well.

Two Cubs Wine

The brief was to make the already existing packaging more contemporary and modern. I decided to keep the two cubs but execute them in a more modern way. The bottle is very clean with the name and wine description in gold and the cubs in a colour that reflected the taste of the wine ie. plum for the fruity and warm red blend, green for the fresh, crisp and zesty white blend and a dirty pink for the sweeter rose. To show the playfulness of the cubs I decided to have them separate and not both on one big label, so that from any angle you could see both, and it almost seemed as though they were constantly playing.

Crayola - Anti Roll Crayons

This ad had a basic concept. An anti roll crayon wouldn't roll off the table and break so by making it stop something else from rolling, we simply exagerated the point. My copywriter Jaques Laubscher and I won a Bronze Loerie for the VW Beetle one.
The line is Anti-Roll Crayons. No accidents.

Exclusive Books Bag Design

We were asked to create a design for the bags, using the line 'For the love of Books'. This design was for the generic bag. I shot a selection of books in various lighting and then created this crest of books.

Woolworths Bag Design

The brief was to create a design for the Woolworth's hessian shopping bag. We had two designs, the first was type based and the second was the watering can print. The watering can could be done in any colour to reflect season, or a holiday ie. pink for Mother's Day, green for Spring. We then thought a nice add on to this bag would be the pin on flowers that were made of Woolworth's material off-cuts and odd buttons. These could be for sale at pay points, and the money could be donated to a charity or organization.

Mystic Boer Bandy

We were briefed to create the packaging for this brandy. The client wanted to show the heritage but with a slighty more modern approach. I created the crest for the logo using a selection of elements that reflected the era we were trying to convey, and old wagon wheels which i repeated to create the pattern I used for the strip on the bottle and at the bottom of the box.
